[Background]

[Personality]
Peeta is the sort of person who, no matter what happens, is kind at
heart. He's thoughtful and rational no matter the situation. This is
something that helps him to survive no matter the circumstance. Peeta
wants to keep his sense of self no matter what happens to him. As he
said on the rooftop before their first entrance into the games, he
wants to live and die on his own terms and be true to himself even to
the end.

Peeta can be very underhanded when the need calls for it, and there
are very few people that he tries to have true loyalty to. I think
this is mostly because we hear about him more during the games then
anything else. He has the capacity to gain true friendship outside of
the games, but he refuses to really make a deep connection with others
unless those others are Katniss, Haymitch, or those that he won't have
to kill later in order to be able to get Katniss home safe.

Peeta has an amazing ability to think fast and think on his feet.
While he is also good at the long term planning. He uses his own
feelings to gain sponsors for himself and Katniss and to make Katniss
more desirable to the sponsors and later manages to become a member of
the career pack even though it's rarely done by someone who isn't a
career tribute or already established in the pack before the start of
the games.

Peeta knows how to bring a crowd to his side and persuade them of even
the most amazing things. One of the most pointed things that he uses
his persuasiveness for is when he announces to the entire world that
he and Katniss are not only married already at seventeen, but Katniss
is in fact pregnant with his child and yet the gamemakers are still
forcing her to go back into the arena where she may die. Later, after
being interrogated and (believed by Katniss to have) made a deal with
Snow for her safety, Peeta appears on television and tells everyone to
call a cease fire. His words are so sincere and believable that the
resistance is afraid that his words are going to undermine their
efforts.

Peeta does NOT believe in violence or retribution. While he is
willing to set it aside for something that matters the most to him
(brining Katniss home), he'll try to first negotiate and find a
peaceful solution. I believe that his words when he was in his first
interview were partially his own. I think he really did believe that
a cease fire was the best option because while he knew that things
needed to change he believed that there was another way to go about
it. A peaceful way. He refuses to take revenge on the capital in the
form of another hunger games. In fact he feels so deeply about this
that he argues it.

While Peeta is rational and gentle in nature that doesn't mean he
isn't a passionate man. In fact, he lets his passion for Katniss run
his thought process most of the time. He thinks little of himself or
his own safety, just her and others. When people keep secrets from
him he becomes angry and on occasion breaks things, but he recovers
quickly from his bouts of anger and doesn't often dwell on them.
Peeta's feelings run to his core and are absolute. The emotion he
dwells in the most is love. His love for Katniss is his driving force
throughout the book, even to the point of it being used against them.
Even when he believes that she loves another man (Gale) he wants to
make her happy, to send her home where she can live a happy life and
be with the man that she loves.

Peeta doesn't have a lot of confidence in himself. After the first
hunger games he doesn't really believe that Katniss would love him.
She has Gale at home who clearly loves her and he thinks that Katniss
loves Gale and that he wouldn't have a chance even if he was able to
keep them both alive. Still, that doesn't mean he won't take every
moment that he's allowed to adore and love her beyond anything else.
After all, to him, that's part of who he is.

After the capital takes over Peeta's mind with the tracker jacker syrum the boy becomes very eratic and unstable. He believes that Katniss is a mutt and that she is the cause of all the death and suffering that has come to pass.

[Abilities]
Peeta is an amazing orator. His words have the power to move cities
worth of people and make even the most ridiculous thing sound
believable and even desirable. Peeta is amazing at thinking on his
feet and planning.
Peeta is an amazing artist and good with camouflage. In fact, he's so
good that he managed to make a gilly suit out of pine needles, river
mud and rocks.
Peeta is also strong. Because he's had to lift sacks of flour all his
life he can lift more then most normal boys his age.
Finally, Peeta is good with a knife or bladed weapon.

[Other important stuff]

[Sample post]
[First Person]

I need to get back. There's something important I was doing. I … I need to get back before it's too late. Please I don't know who you are, but send me back. It's important that I get back. Katniss needs help. She's, something's going to happen. She's in trouble.

[Third Person]
Peeta looked around with a strange mix a trepidation and wonder. This place, it was like nothing he'd ever seen before. He was almost certain that the capital couldn't have created this place. It was to … fantastic. His foot dipped into the shoreline of the pond as he continued to walk forward. He paused, reaching down to feel the cool water running over his dirty chapped palms. The feel if it stung deep, but the cool clean water still felt good. Almost like a rebirth. This place was clearly not torn by war the way that home was. It was peaceful and calm, the way he thought he might have been.

Still, there was Katniss to think of. Katniss and the war. As far as he remembered he had left them at a crucial point. He'd been trying to be a distraction, trying to ensure that the others made it to the circle. He was certain he'd failed. He leaned down into the water, his knees and lower leg becoming wet from the water and washed his face in the water. He'd need to get back. That was his first goal. To get back home to ensure the other's safty.

[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] Peeta tends to be everywhere, so it's hard to find a place that doesn't have a Peeta already. Also, the apping Katniss and I wated to be able to play in the same game, so finding a place where both slots were open was a big thing for us. On top of that Lulu and I are friends and I love her Finnick, so being able to play with her in a new and exciting environment seemed like a lot of fun.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] I like your rules about staying in character. They're very thorough and seem to leave little room for childish antics.
[Where did you hear about Somarium?] Lulu
[Any questions?]
